Recipes for Shavuot


cheese cake50 - 60 grams non-salted margarine
Half cup of sugar
Tablespoon or two or wine of cognac
Baking powder one tablespoon
One and a half cups of non-rising flour
4 egg yellows

This is the base of the cake, add until the mixture is soft. This batter is put down in the bottom of the baking tin. Wet hand beforehand and add smoothly.

Filling for cake

1 kilo of white cheese
One half a cup of sugar
A tablespoon of vanilla sugar
Grate the peel of a whole lemon
1 cup of sour cream
2 to 3 tablespoons of flour

Bake at 180 degrees for fifty minutes; whip the whites with a half a cup of sugar, pour it over the cheese and bake an additional 10 minutes until brown. Allow the cake to remain in the oven for an hour before removing. Enjoy.

200 grams of margarine
Onion cake1 sour cream
2 and a quarter cups of self rising flour

Mix together and leave in the fridge for an hour or so.

The Filling

10 or 12 large onions
Butter and oil
250 grams grated yellow cheese
2 eggs

Saute the onions in oil and butter until golden brown. Add the eggs and grated cheese. Leave some of the cheese for the top of the onion cake. Bake until golden brown at 180 degrees. Enjoy!!!

mushroom and cheese quiche500 grams of sliced mushrooms
Margarine and oil
300 grams grated yellow cheese

Fry and sauté onions in oil with margarine for flavor. Add the mushroom and stir for ten minutes or so.

Take 500 grams of cottage cheese 500 grams of white cheese (You may add any kind you like)

Add a tablespoon of mushroom bouillon for flavor, mix all of the ingredients and add to a large baking tin. Bake at 180 until golden brown.

cheese quiche with sesame seeds2 and a quarter cups of flour
200 grams of salted margarine
200 grams of yellow grated cheese
2 eggs

This is a very soft batter.

Grease a baking tin and add the cheese mixture.

Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and bake at 180 degrees.


Zuchinni Dish

zuchinni with cheeses7 large zuchinni
500 grams bulgarian salted cheese
500 grams cottage cheese
4 eggs
green onion chopped into small pieces
half a cup of flour
salt and pepper for taste.
2 large brown fried onions

Grate zuchinni and take out water. Add all ingredients and bake in a large baking tin on 180 degrees for an hour or until golden brown.
